Our mission is to inspire and educate people about sustainable gardening practices and the joys of growing your own food. Each year, we open the gates to various gardens, allowing visitors to see firsthand how local gardeners create and maintain their edible landscapes.

Community
The Tamborine Mountain Edible Garden Trail is more than just an event—it’s a celebration of local connections. Just as we nurture good soil and grow seasonal food, we believe in cultivating strong relationships within our community.
We partner with as many local businesses and community groups as possible, ensuring that the event benefits not just gardeners, but the entire mountain. From our local baker feeding garden hosts on trail day to the Men’s Shed crafting event signage from recycled timber, every part of the trail is touched by community hands.

Going Forward
A percentage of the profits from each event goes directly back into the Tamborine Mountain community to support local food-growing initiatives.
Past & Future Contributions
- 2023 – Helped fund the redesign of the local Edible Exchange, a hub where locals share excess homegrown produce and homemade products, reducing food waste and fostering community connections.
- 2024 – No trail this year, but we’ve been growing new ideas for Summer 2025!
- 2025 – Partnering with the Tamborine Mountain Library and Mountain Mates to refresh and replant the library’s community garden beds, bringing herbs, greens, and bush tucker back for everyone to enjoy.
- 2026… Who knows where we’ll throw seeds next?
These are just our projects—why not look around your own community to see how you can support food growing for friends, family, and neighbors? Let’s grow together!
